Nigerian Ladies and Proposals

          Gone are the days when proposals were private and unexpected. Today, proposals are all about showing off to friends and family and  have become so extravagant you feel its the main deal. A lot of ladies crave for an elaborate proposal based on status among friends(my friends must die of envy).
           
         The setting ranges from a boat ride, birthday party, plane ride, ATM stand, pool party, night out with boo and friends, on the street, a staged play or song for the lady and the Banking hall is not left out. 
Funny enough, the idea that proposals are unexpected leaves me in awe as to the behaviour of ladies ahead/during the whole show. All dressed up, nails fixed, hair and make up Perfect, excitement level is always 100% with a fake smile.
           Guys, please make it real, even though you may be termed old fashioned, it is far better than all the fake glamour and all that. Lets meet the real and natural 'HER' but that doesn't mean you can't go the extra mile for that *Special lady*.
          My fellow Ladies, When would we stop the fake life thingy and showy display of what we are and aren't just to please friends?
