Ex-cop Attempts to Murder Wife

Police in Akure, Ondo state are on the trail of an ex-police officer, Tajudeen Adeniyi, over an attempt to kill his wife, Moyosola, by using machete on her, inflating a 10-centimetre deep gash on her head
The 38 years old suspect, Tajudeen Adeniyi took to his heels immediately he inflicted the injury on his wife who had has four children for him. According to investigation, Adeniyi has gone underground following the hints he got that the case has been reported to the police. The police have combed the houses of his family members and friends  but to no avail. According to the wife (Moyosola) on her hospital bed, she said her husband abandoned the house for another woman's since November last year. She also said that her husband invaded her apartment at Plaza area in Akure at about 11pm on Wednesday and attacked her. That he forced his way through the door with the use of a Mortar and attacked her with cutlass and bottle. She said her husband was accompanied by two other men who inflicted several machete cuts on her head and neck, making her to lose several pints of blood.
The Ondo state Police image maker, Wole Ogodo, said men of the command were on the trail of the suspect(Tajudeen Adeniyi) for attempted murder.
